2026 Mizzou Football schedule released

2026 will be the first season the SEC will play a nine game conference schedule

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The Southeastern Conference Thursday released the 2026 football schedule for member schools.

The Missouri Tigers will start the 2026 season at home in week one, facing off against Arkansas-Pine Bluff. That game is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 5, but in recent years the Tigers have moved that game to the Thursday before Labor Day weekend, which would be Sept. 3. No announcement on a change has been made yet.

That will kick off a three-game stretch against non-conference opponents to begin the year.

Sept. 12, the Tigers will head west to face rival Kansas. It will be the second consecutive year of the Border War game, following the teams’ first meeting this season since Missouri joined the SEC.

Mizzou will finish Sept. hosting Troy on the 19, then traveling to Starkville, Mississippi to play Mississippi State in the first SEC game of the year, starting a stretch of nine straight conference games.

Oct. starts with two straight home games, hosting Florida on Oct. 3 for Homecoming, then Texas A&M on the 10.

The Tigers travel back to Mississippi on Oct. 17, this time taking on Ole Miss. The only open date on the schedule is Oct. 24, before the Tigers take on Arkansas on Halloween in Fayetteville, a departure from the previous years of playing the Razorbacks on Thanksgiving weekend.

November on paper will be Mizzou’s toughest month. It starts with a visit from Texas to Columbia for the first time since 2011. The next week, Mizzou travels to Georgia, before ending the season with two straight home games against Kentucky and Oklahoma.

In total, Mizzou’s SEC schedule includes four of the five college football playoff participants this year, two on the road (Ole Miss and Georgia) and two at home (Texas A&M and Oklahoma).

The schedule also sees an even split of teams that finished in the top 8 and bottom 8 of the 2025 SEC standings.
