ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - Mizzou running back Ahmad Hardy and offensive lineman Keagen Trost have each been named Associated Press All-Americans.

AP made the announcement on Monday, which comes after both players earned Walter Camp All-America honors on Friday.

Hardy was named to the AP All-America First Team, and Trost was named to the All-America Third Team.

A finalist for the Doak Walker Award, Ahmad Hardy led the country in rushing yards per game, as well as ranking second nationally in rushing yards. He is fourth in the country in total rushing touchdowns with 16, and he has rushed for over 200 more yards than any other running back in the SEC.

Hardy is the 13th First Team AP All-American in Mizzou history.

According to Pro Football Focus, Trost holds the nation’s top run-block grade. He has allowed only two sacks, and Mizzou credits him with helping pave the way for the SEC’s top rushing attack this year.

Trost has also been named a second-team All-American by the Walter Camp Football Foundation and a first-team All-SEC selection by both the Associated Press and league coaches.
