During his short time in STL, Kessler quickly became a fan favorite & loved exploring the city. Kessler came to CITY in the Tim Parker trade & now CITY moves on from him, too.@MatrixMidwest pic.twitter.com/TD4Q0zLmC6
‘Kess’ came to St. Louis in 2024 as part of a deal for former CITY captain Tim Parker.
The 27-year-old centerback helped lead St. Louis’s backline in 2024 and 2025, which started the 2025 season allowing zero goals through its first four matches.

During his time in St. Louis, Kessler started in 23 regular-season matches, recorded 61 clearances, 90 aerial duels, and posted a pass percentage above 90 in both years.
