ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - St. Louis Cardinals first base coach and former player, Stubby Clapp, is being inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame.
Clapp is joined by Jim Baba, Paul Runge, and Kate Psota as members of the Class of 2026.
The Windsor, Ont., native played for Canada’s Junior National Team in 1991. As a player, he played in a multitude of international tournaments, including the 1999 Pan Am Games.
Clapp also played 23 games for the Cardinals in 2001, before becoming the manager for the Triple-A Memphis Redbirds.
In 2019, the Cardinals brought him in as first base coach. and he has held the position ever since.
