Cardinals hold afternoon press conference to announce organizational changes

Bloom to run player development, then take over full baseball ops from Mozeliak after 2025 as Cards The Cardinals season has ended, but the movement is just beginning.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - The St. Louis Cardinals held a press conference Monday afternoon to announce organizational changes.

The press conference came after the team vowed to “reset” the front office and their roster for next season.

At the press conference, the franchise announced that Chaim Bloom would be promoted after John Mozeliak, the president of baseball operations, steps down after the 2025 season. Mike Girsch was also named the vice president of special projects, and team leaders announced that they would spend money on player development.
