ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - St Louis CITY2 signed forward Emil Jääskeläinen and goalkeeper Colin Welsh to MLS NEXT Pro contracts.
Jääskeläinen was selected 7th overall in the first round, and Welsh was selected 67th overall in the third round of the draft.

Their signings mark the beginning of what we believe will be a successful journey with the club, and we can’t wait to see the impact they’ll make both on and off the field.”
Jääskeläinen and Welsh are both signed through the end of the 2025 season with club options for 2026.
