ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - The U.S. Women’s National Team will return to St. Louis this summer to face China PR at Energizer Park.
According to a release by St. Louis CITY SC, the U.S. will face China at Energizer Park on Tuesday, June 3, at 7 p.m.
This will be the second time the USWNT has visited St. Louis. The first was in April 2023 for a match against the Republic of Ireland, which ended in a 1-0 victory for the U.S.
The match will feature a special pre-game celebration for USWNT legend and St. Louis-native Becky Sauerbrunn, who announced her retirement last December. The former U.S. captain will also be part of the TNT broadcast team for the match.
Before this match, the U.S. will face China PR at Allianz Field in St. Paul, Minn., on Saturday, May 31. These will be the first two meetings between the two since the end of 2023.

With 60 meetings, China has faced the U.S. more than any of its opponent other than Canada. Both sides have previously met in two world finals in the 1990s.
China is currently preparing for the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup, which will serve as qualifying for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil. The USA is preparing for Concacaf World Cup qualifying, which will be held in the fall of 2026.
“I love these games because they combine some rich women’s soccer history with the present, with both countries going through transitions in preparation for ‘27 World Cup qualifying,” said U.S. head coach Emma Hayes. “But our process continues and it’s a patient and comprehensive one. It’s up to our coaching staff to give players opportunities – opportunities they have earned – and it’s up to the players to show us they can perform at the highest levels. We are looking forward to seeing the players show their talents against an excellent team in two fantastic soccer venues.”
“We love welcoming the United States Women’s National team to America’s First Soccer City and Energizer Park once again,” CITY SC President and General Manager Diego Gigliani said. " We value the opportunity to showcase the city of St. Louis and our incredible soccer history, which produced so many great players like Becky and Lori Chalupny.”
