ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Avery is a junior at St. Joseph’s Academy.
She helped lead her team to its first state title since 1983 and won the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke. Her backstroke was a National Interscholastic Coaches Association All-America time record.
Avery also contributed to breaking the Class One 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle records.
