Heading to watch Banana Ball at Busch Stadium? Here’s what you need to know

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The Savannah Bananas are in St. Louis for two games this weekend!

The Savannah Bananas will take on the Party Animals at Busch Stadium on Friday and Saturday night.

On both nights, the schedule of events is:

  • Pre-Game Plaza Opens: 2 p.m.
  • Player Appearance: 2 p.m.
  • Before the Peel Show: 3 p.m.
  • Gates Open: 4:30 p.m.
  • Show Starts: 6:30 p.m.

Additional merchandise openings will be on Thursday from 2-5 p.m. at the Clark Street location and on Friday and Saturday starting at noon at the Spruce Street and Clark Street locations.

Banana Ball tickets are sold by Ticket Zones, which correspond with the ballpark map below:

All tickets purchased for the original April games that were rained out are valid for the July games.

Fans entering Busch Stadium can bring items like bags, purses and soft-sided coolers no bigger than 10″ x 8″ x 10″ and strollers. Click here for the list of prohibited items by the St. Louis Cardinals.

The plaza is the place to be before the gates open, with live performances, interactive fun and the ultimate kickoff experience.

The St. Louis Cardinals and hospitality partner Delaware North will have limited-time menu items for both games. The exclusive offerings include:

  • Banana Boat Nacho Supreme — Available at sections 139, 161, 169, 233, 437, 450, 266 and 252.
  • Banana-flavored beer — Available at Grab N Go Markets in sections 108, 153 and 452.
  • Crumbl banana bread cookie — Available at the Crumbl stand in section 136.
  • Hot dog and chip family meal deal — Available at sections 139, 161, 169, 233, 437, 450, 266, 248 and 270.

What is Banana Ball?

On November 2, 2018, Banana Ball was tested for the first time at Lander University. Two years later, the first official Banana Ball game was played at Grayson Stadium. On July 21, 2020, the Party Animals made their debut as the official first competitor in Banana Ball.

On March 11, 2022, the first Banana Ball World Tour kicked off in Savannah, Georgia. Later in the year, Banana Ball debuted on ESPN2.

In September of 2023, the National Baseball Hall of Fame unveiled a Banana Ball exhibit.

The Banana Ball rules:

  • Rule 1: Win the inning, get the point
  • Rule 2: Two-hour time limit
  • Rule 3: No stepping out
  • Rule 4: No. Bunting.
  • Rule 5: Batters Can Steal First
  • Rule 6: No Walks Allowed
