ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - St. Louis CITY SC continues to make deals with Minnesota United, adding left back Devin Padelford on loan through December 31, 2025.
Minnesota will receive St. Louis CITY SC’s natural third-round pick in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft in exchange.
“Devin is a young player who has already shown maturity and potential at the MLS level,” said Lutz Pfannestiel. “His ability to get forward from the left side, combined with his defensive instincts, will provide us with another option as we push through the end of the season.”
Padelford signed with Minnesota as the club’s first Homegrown Player in 2022.
He made 22 starts and contributed one assist with the club’s MLS Next Pro side, MNUFC2, the following season, and made 41 appearances for the first team since 2023.

Padelford is the second consecutive Minnesota player to join CITY SC this week. The two sides will face off this Saturday, July 26, at Energizer Park.
