ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - The Cardinals have moved reliever Phil Maton.
The Redbirds completed a trade on Thursday, sending Maton to the Texas Rangers in exchange for two prospects and international money, Sports on 4 Cardinals Insider Katie Woo reported. The Cardinals later confirmed the trade.

The St. Louis Cardinals are close to finalizing a deal that will send right-handed reliever Phil Maton to the Texas Rangers. Two minor-league prospects are coming to St. Louis.
The trade is pending medical reviews.
