ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - The Ohio Valley Conference has released its men’s and women’s basketball conference schedules for the 2025-26 season.
The season will once again feature a round-robin slate of 20 games.
Each team will play two games before Christmas, and the schedule will resume on December 30, continuing until Saturday, February 28.
The 2026 OVC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournament is scheduled to take place from March 4-7 at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.
SIUE
This year, the Cougars will start the OVC season on the road with Eastern Illinois (Dec. 18) and Western Illinois (Dec. 22). The team hits the road again for UT Martin (Jan. 15) and Southeast Missouri (Jan. 17).

The Cougars will begin a road stint with Morehead State (Jan. 29), then facing Southern Indiana (Jan. 31), Lindenwood (Feb. 3) and Little Rock (Feb. 7).
The Cougars face off against Tennessee Tech (Feb. 19) and Tennessee State (Feb. 21).
SIUE will start 2026 at First Community Arena against Southern Indiana (Jan. 1) and Morehead State (Jan. 3). They will remain home for a game against Lindenwood (Jan. 6) and Little Rock (Jan. 8).
The Cougars will take on Tennessee State (Jan. 22) and Tennessee Tech (Jan. 24) at home later in the month.
After their road stint, they’ll return home for their second matchup with Southeast Missouri (Feb. 12) and UT Martin (Feb. 14). SIUE will wrap up regular-season games at First Community Arena with Western Illinois (Feb. 26) and Eastern Illinois (Feb. 28).

The Lions are coming off a 23-11 record, including a 16-4 mark in conference play. The Black and Gold made it all the way to the WNIT Super 16 last season.

NCAAM:
The Lions finished the 2024-25 season with a 16-17 record overall and went 10-10 in conference play. They made it as far as the quarterfinals in the OVC tournament, where they lost to Tennessee State.
Lindenwood opens the conference season on December 6 at Eastern Illinois.
The Lions will then have three straight home games with matchups against Western Illinois (Decmber 18), Morehead State, (January 1) and Southern Indiana (January 3).
Lindenwood will then head on the road to face SIUE on January 6 before returning home to battle Little Rock on January 10.
The Lions will then face SEMO on January 15 on the road, followed by UT Martin on January 17.
The final home games of January will be on January 22 against Tennessee Tech and January 24 against Tennessee State.
The second half of the conference schedule will begin at the end of January with the Lions heading to Southern Indiana on January 29 and Morehead State on January 31.

The final month of the schedule will include home matchups with SIUE (February 3), UT Martin (February 12), SEMO (February 14), and Eastern Illinois (February 26).
Lindenwood will travel to Little Rock on February 5, then Tennessee State (Feburary 19), Tennessee Tech (February 21), and Western Illinois (February 28) to end the conference slate.
