ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - St. Louis CITY2 extended its unbeaten streak to 11 games after defeating Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 4-2 Wednesday night.
Mykhi Joyner scored a penalty for his twelfth goal of the season to kick things off.

Vancouver equalized in stoppage time, but soon after, Cam Cilley scored his second goal of the season to give CITY2 a 2-1 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Brendan McSorley scored his seventh goal of the year to give St Louis a 3-1 lead.

Whitecaps FC 2 eventually pulled one back, but Emil Jääskeläinen sealed the victory late in the match, securing another three points for CITY2.

It was the team’s fourth all-time win against Whitecaps FC 2, and seventh road victory of the 2025 season.
CITY2 maintains its first-place spot in the league’s overall standings with 46 points.
St Louis returns home to Energizer Park for their final regular season meeting against Colorado Rapids 2 on Sunday, August 10, at 6 p.m.
