ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The Cadets beat the DeSmet Spartans 56-13 Friday night.
The first quarter started off slow, but the Cadets were able to put the first six points on the board with quarterback Nick McCllelan throwing a short pass to Vic Williams.
With 2:04 left in the first, Williams let loose to give the Cadets a 14-0 lead.
During the 2nd quarter, the connection between McClellan and senior Jayden Reed was consistent. The senior quarterback was able to find Reed twice to extend the lead to 28-0.
DeSmet was able to get on the board with a rushing touchdown by Cam Sharp. With 44 seconds left in the half, McClellan threw an interception to DeSmet, and it turned into a touchdown to end the half.

At the start of the second half, Williams burst out of the backfield to extend CBC’s lead. He later found the endzone again with six minutes left in the third quarter to give the Cadets a 49-13 lead.
The Cadets obtain their undefeated record. They will play Libscomb Academy on Friday, September 26.
