ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - St. Louis CITY2 is moving on to the MLS NEXT Pro Western Conference Semifinal after defeating Ventura County FC 3-0 Sunday night.
CITY2 took the lead early in the match following an own goal by Ventura County.
In the second half, Brendan McSorley extended the lead to 2-0 in the 81st minute.
And six minutes later, McSorley scored his second goal of the night off assists from Emil Jääskeläinen and Wan Kuzain to seal the 3-0 win.
CITY2 will host the Western Conference Semifinal at Energizer Park next weekend.
