ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - Two local universities are gearing up for their first round matchups in the NCAA Division I Soccer Tournament.
Both Lindenwood and Saint Louis University will take the field this Thursday to begin their tournament journeys.
Lindenwood (14-2-4) will face Kansas City (11-3-5) at 6 p.m. The winner will move on to the second round to play No. 12 Stanford (13-3-2).
Lindenwood’s attack is led by Senior forward Luca Bartoni, who has scored in back-to-back games and has a total of seven goals this season.
No. 24 Saint Louis (10-2-7) will play Kentucky (10-3-5) at 7 p.m.

The winner of these two will face No. 6 Indiana (12-5-1) in the second round.
SLU’s top scorer, Theo France, has amassed five goals in 13 starts this season.
