ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Mizzou running back Ahmad Hardy was named a semifinalist for the 2025 Doak Walker National Running Back Award Tuesday.

After last week’s win against Mississippi State, he became the sixth player in SEC history to rush for 300 yards in a game. The sophomore running back is also the nation’s leading rusher with 1,346 yards.

Hardy has 15 rushing touchdowns so far, and is now 282 yards away from breaking former Tiger Cody Schrader’s all time mark, which is 1,627.

The Doak Walker Award is awarded to the nation’s top runing back. Three of the finalists will be announced in December and the winner will be announced on Friday, December 12.
