ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - CBC’s undefeated season came to an end Saturday afternoon after losing to the Jackson Indians 45-42 in the Class 6 State Quarterfinal.
The Jackson Indians took off early, securing a 31-7 lead in the first quarter.
But, CBC’s running back duo of Courtney Rivers and Vic Williams helped the team get within 10 points of their opponent before the half, and then again just after halftime.
Jackson, however, never took its foot off the pedal.
The Indians continued to respond and extend their lead, going back up 45-28.

Despite the Cadets finding their offensive rhythm in the second half, it wasn’t enough to overcome the deficit.
After forcing Jackson into a 4th and long with several minutes remaining and a one-score game, CBC was unable to keep its opponent from converting for a first down.
All that was left to do was kneel the ball, and the Indians secured a 45-42 victory.
The Indians punched their ticket to the State Semifinals, and CBC finishes its 2025 season 11-1.
