ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - Saint Louis University defeated No. 6 Indiana University 1-0 Saturday in the second round of the NCAA Division 1 Men’s Soccer Tournament.
The last time these two met was in September, with IU securing a 1-0 victory in Bloomington, Ind.
This time, Junior midfielder Tanner Anderson scored in the 17th minute to put SLU up 1-0.
The Billikens were able to hold the lead until the final whistle, eliminating the Hoosiers from the tournament.
Up next, SLU will face No. 11 Bryant (17-2-2) in the third round of the tournament on Sunday, Nov. 30, at 5 p.m.
The winner will move on to the quarterfinals.
