ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The Tigers are traveling down to Fayetteville to face Arkansas this Saturday for Rivalry Week.
Mizzou is coming off a tough 17-6 loss to Oklahoma. The offense produced 301 total yards, but could not find a way to score. The Sooners were able to put the Tigers’ dominant run game on pause. The defense had a slow start, but they were able to hold Oklahoma to three points in the second half.
The Tigers attempted to score another field goal, when suddenly the Sooners blocked the 35-yard attempt. Two plays later, Oklahoma scored an 87-yard touchdown. They later scored again to put the Sooners up 14-7 at halftime.
Welcome Back Beau
Quarterback Beau Pribula started after missing the last two games due to an ankle injury. He threw for 231 yards with two interceptions. Oklahoma consistently sent pressure towards the transfer quarterback and sacked him four times. Running back Ahmad Hardy was held back by the Sooners’ defensive front, only running for 57 yards.
Receiver Kevin Coleman led the Tigers in receiving, catching seven passes for 115 yards. Receiver Joshua Manning was second in receiving yards, catching four passes for 55 yards.

Defense showing up
The Tigers’ defense struggled in the first half, giving up 14 points before the first half of the game. In the second half, they were able to put pressure on Oklahoma, only allowing three points.
Linebacker Josiah Trotter led the team with 13 tackles. The Tigers were only able to sack Oklahoma’s quarterback twice.
About the Battle Line Rivalry
This rivalry goes back to 2014. Last year, Mizzou pulled off a close 28-21 win at home, making their record 11-4 against the Razorbacks.
Arkansas is 2-9 this season and 0-7 in the SEC. They are led by quarterback Taylen Green, who has thrown for 2,655 yards and 19 touchdowns.
