FESTUS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - To say St. Pius X (of Festus) is having a historic year would be an understatement.
The Lancers football team had never won a game past the district championship in the state tournament, until 2025.
This weekend, St. Pius X will play in the Class 2 state championship game. After starting the season 0-3, the Lancers found a way to win the next four games and have used that confidence to reach the state championship.
