ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Former Cardinals play-by-play announcer Joe Buck has been selected as the 2026 Ford Frick Award winner.
He joins his father Jack Buck, who was the 1987 Frick Award winner, as the only father/son winners. Buck will be honored during the Hall of Fame Awards Presentation in July 2026.
Buck started as a play-by-play announcer for the Cardinals. He later joined FOX Sports in 1994, calling 24 World Series, six Super Bowls, and 21 All-Star games.
In 2022, he joined ESPN as a play-by-play announcer for Monday Night Football, and called the Cardinal’s Opening Day broadcast in 2025.
