KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Former Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy is heading east.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the New York Giants will hire Nagy as their offensive coordinator.
The Chiefs and Nagy, 47, parted ways at the end of the season when Nagy’s contract expired. Since then he interviewed for a head coaching position with the Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Raiders and Arizona Cardinals, according to a report from NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Nagy also interviewed with the Philadelphia Eagles for the organization’s offensive coordinator last month.
Nagy has spent 14 of his 18 seasons in the NFL working under Chiefs head coach Andy Reid. The only four seasons he didn’t work under Reid, Nagy spent as the head coach of the Chicago Bears.
