Ricky Proehl earns first win as Battlehawks coach in 16-10 victory over DC

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - The St. Louis Battlehawks defeated the defending UFL champions, the DC Defenders, 16-10 this weekend.

It was the first game of the 2026 UFL season for St. Louis, and the first win for new Battlehawks head coach Ricky Proehl.

Quarterback Brandon Silvers threw for 198 yards and a touchdown.

St. Louis’ defense played a huge part in the victory, recording two interceptions and seven sacks.

The Battlehawks will face the Dallas Renegades next on Tuesday, April 7, at Toyota Stadium.

Kick-off is set for 7 p.m.
