ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - Cardinals shortstop Masyn Winn was involved in a single-car accident after Wednesday’s Cardinals game, the team announced on Wednesday night.
The accident happened on I-64 and occurred due to wet pavement, the Cardinals said.
Winn was alone in the car and was attended to by local police, Cardinals security and medical staff. The team says he was taken to a local hospital and suffered no serious injuries.
Other information was not immediately known.
The accident happened the same day that Winn won the series finale against the Mets with a walk-off single in the 11th inning.
