ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - The St. Louis Battlehawks dropped to 1-1 after falling to the Dallas Renegades 31-15 Tuesday night.

The Renegades took a 17-3 lead into halftime thanks to stellar offensive play by quarterback Austin Reed and running back Dae Dae Hunter.

After falling behind 24-6 in the final quarter, Battlehawks quarterback Brandon Silvers found Tyler Neville in the endzone to cap off a 12-play, 65-yard drive. St. Louis then cut the deficit to nine after converting their first three-point conversion of the season.

But after a defensive stop, Silvers was unable to replicate his success on the previous drive, and the Battlehawks turned the ball over on downs.

To make matters worse, the Renegades put the final nail in the coffin after Reed connected with wide receiver Tyler Vaughn for a 30-yard score.

Next, the Battlehawks will face the Birmingham Stallions this Sunday at 3 p.m. at The Dome.
