New date set for 2026 ‘Border War’ football game between Mizzou and Kansas

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - A new date has been set for the Mizzou vs Kansas football game this year.

The University of Missouri announced Friday that its game against Kansas, originally scheduled for September 12, has been moved to Friday, September 11.

The Tigers will travel to face the Jayhawks at David Booth Memorial Stadium in Lawrence, Kansas, for the first time since 2005.

They will then return home the following week to host Troy on September 19.

Mizzou holds a 58-54-9 lead in the series and has won five of the last six ‘Border War’ games, including a 42-31 victory in Columbia last season.
