COLUMBIA, Mo. (KCTV) - One of Missouri’s top players last season will suit up against the Tigers during SEC play next year.

On Wednesday, former Mizzou guard T.O. Barrett reportedly committed to Vanderbilt. Barrett, who has two seasons of eligibility remaining, chose the Commodores just over two weeks after his plans to exit Columbia were made public. His commitment to Vanderbilt was first reported by On3.

The Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, native averaged 8.6 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game for the Tigers as a sophomore.

He made 14 starts in 33 games for the Tigers, but was limited as a scorer due to his lack of perimeter shooting skill.

Barrett ended his Mizzou career with a disappointing finish, going 0-for-7 from the floor during the Tigers’ 80-66 loss to Miami in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.

He joins a Vanderbilt team that was a 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament last season and lost in the Round of 32.
