ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - After handling FC Tulsa in the Round of 32, St. Louis CITY SC will now face Chicago Fire FC in the U.S. Open Cup Round of 16.
CITY took down Tulsa 4-0 thanks to goals by Marcel Hartel, Sangbin Jeong, Mykhi Joyner, and Tomás Ostrák.
Chicago started its tournament with a 2-1 win over USL Championship side Detroit City FC.
Forward Jason Shokalook scored both goals for the Fire, who sit in third place in the MLS Eastern Conference after defeating Sporting Kansas City 5-0 over the weekend.
These two sides have a history in this tournament.

In 2023, Chicago bested St. Louis 2-1 at SeatGeek Stadium in the Round of 32.
Both clubs look very different now, and CITY will be looking to even things up.
The match kicks off at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29.
