KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Each of the seven NFL draft picks selected by the Kansas City Chiefs last week has selected a jersey number for the 2026 season.

On Thursday, the Chiefs shared their rookies’ new digits, with several of the newest members of Chiefs Kingdom selecting numbers worn by players who departed this offseason.

No. 6 overall pick Mansoor Delane will wear No. 5, replacing wide receiver Hollywood Brown after the former Chief left for the Philadelphia Eagles in free agency. Delane chose No. 5 with No. 4 -- his college number at LSU -- occupied by wide receiver Rashee Rice.

Peter Woods, a defensive tackle from Clemson who the Chiefs selected with the 29th overall pick in the first round, will wear No. 99. It was worn last season by defensive tackle Jerry Tillery.

Second-round pick R Mason Thomas, a defensive end from Oklahoma, will wear No. 34. Safety Mike Edwards wore it for the six games he appeared in for Kansas City in 2025.

After All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie was traded from the Chiefs to the Los Angeles Rams in March, Kansas City’s fourth-round pick is taking his number. Former Oregon defensive back Jadon Canady will wear No. 22 now.

Kansas City will continue to have a No. 10 in its running back room. After Isiah Pacheco departed the Chiefs and signed with the Detroit Lions this offseason, Nebraska running back Emmett Johnson has joined the fold and taken over the No. 10 uniform. It’s also the same uniform number that former Chiefs star Tyreek Hill wore in Kansas City, as Hill enters free agency coming off a season-ending knee injury.

Wide receiver Cyrus Allen, the Chiefs’ fifth-round pick out of Cincinnati, will wear No. 13. The last Chief to wear that was cornerback Nazeeh Johnson.

Kansas City’s final draft pick, quarterback Garrett Nussmeier, will wear No. 14. That number choice signals a change in uniform number for punter Matt Araiza, who wore No. 14 for the last two seasons and re-signed with the Chiefs recently.
