ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - The St. Louis Cardinals’ 2026 Hall of Fame Class has been announced!
The inductees are Yadier Molina, Albert Pujols, and Bill Sherdel.
All three will be inducted into the Cardinals Hall of Fame on Saturday, September 12, inside Busch Stadium as part of a special pregame ceremony before the Cardinals-White Sox game.
This is the 13th induction class since the team dedicated the Cardinals Hall of Fame with an inaugural class on Opening Day in 2014.
According to the Cardinals, Molina and Pujols were the top vote-getters in the online balloting. The two Cardinals legends combined for 31 seasons and 4,040 games in St. Louis with 20 All-Star selections, 11 Gold Glove Awards and seven Silver Slugger Awards. They also won the 2006 and 2011 World Series championships and the 2004 National League pennant as Cardinals teammates and rank first and second in franchise history in postseason games played.

Sherdel was elected by the Red Ribbon Committee, a group comprised of 12 St. Louis baseball experts. He is the winningest left-handed pitcher in franchise history with 153 wins, and played as both a starter and reliever during his 14 seasons with St. Louis. He was also the winning pitcher in the Cardinals’ first two National League pennant-clinching games in 1926 and 1928.
“This year’s Hall of Fame Class promises to be one of the most celebrated since we inducted our inaugural class 12 years ago,” said Bill DeWitt Jr., Cardinals Chairman and CEO. “On behalf of the Cardinals organization, I would like to congratulate Yadier Molina, Albert Pujols, and the late Bill Sherdel on this tremendous honor and thank our fans, as well as the Red Ribbon Committee, for casting their votes for this year’s inductees. We look forward to celebrating the achievements of these iconic players with our great fans during Hall of Fame Weekend in September.”
