Mizzou’s Dennis Gates to make USA Basketball debut at U18 training camp

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - Mizzou basketball Coach Dennis Gates will be taking his skills to the international level this summer.

USA Basketball announced Friday that Gates will serve as a court coach for the 2026 USA Basketball Men’s U18 National Team Training Camp.

This will be his USA Basketball coaching debut. He’ll serve on Anthony Grant’s staff, along with Greg Kampe, Dusty May and Ritchie McKay.

The camp will feature 35 players and will begin on Thursday, May 21.

The 12-member team is expected to be announced later for the 2026 FIBA U18 Men’s AmeriCup in Mexico.
