ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - The two most prominent men’s basketball programs in Missouri are finalizing an agreement to meet on the hardwood this upcoming season, according to a report.
Jon Rothstein with CBS Sports and College Hoops Today is reporting that Mizzou and Saint Louis University (SLU) are working towards playing each other at Enterprise Center on November 6. The matchup would officially be deemed a neutral-site game, even though it will be played less than two miles from the SLU campus and the Billikens’ home of Chaifetz Arena.

Rothstein reports there is no timeline on when an official announcement about the game will be made.
Both teams are coming off NCAA Tournament appearances. Mizzou lost in the Round of 64 to Miami (also played at Enterpise Center) and SLU, who won the Atlantic 10 regular season title, was knocked out in the Round of 32 by Michigan, the eventual national champion.
The Billikens and Tigers have played each other 40 times, last meeting in December, 2001. The two programs first met in 1931.
