Lars Nootbaar activated from 60-day IL

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - The St. Louis Cardinals announced Friday that outfielder Lars Nootbaar has been activated from the 60-day Injured List.

Nootbaar is returning to the Cardinals lineup after missing two months of the season recovering from double heel surgery to correct chronic Haglund’s deformities in both heels.

His rehab assignment took him from Low-A Palm Beach to Triple-A Memphis, where he completed back-to-back full nine-inning games.
