ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - For the third consecutive year, the St. Louis Battlehawks were eliminated from the playoffs after losing 29-20 to the Louisville Kings Sunday.
It was the Kings’ fifth straight win and seventh in their last eight games.
Tanner Brown played a huge role in their win, becoming the first kicker in UFL history to convert two four-point field goals in a single game.
After a strong end to the first half, St. Louis looked like the superior side.
But, after a stalled drive in the fourth quarter, Louisville’s Ian Wheeler broke the game open with a 51-yard score. And after another missed opportunity by the Battlehawks, Brown nailed a 63-yard attempt - his second of the game.

With one last opportunity in Louisville territory, St. Louis’ season was ended when Kings linebacker Steele Chambers dove in front of a pass in the end zone and came away with the game-clinching interception.
Louisville is now headed to the United Bowl in its inaugural season.
