ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - St. Louis natives Matthew and Brady Tkachuk brought their Olympic gold medal to St. Louis Children’s Hospital, showing it off to patients and signing autographs.
In February, the Tkachuk brothers were part of Team USA, which won hockey gold for the first time in 46 years.
The brothers showed off their medals, signed autographs and took pictures with the kids. Their charitable efforts at the hospital go back years.
“I know it’s super important to me, it’s super important to the family — our whole family has been involved in Children’s Hospital for years and years and we just want to see some smiles on kids faces today,” Matthew Tkachuk said.
“I think the best part of our life and job is to put smiles on kids’ faces, being from here — being a little inspiration and a little hope,” Brady Tkachuk said.
The visit is becoming a summer tradition for Matthew. In 2024 and 2025, he brought the Stanley Cup to Children’s Hospital.
