ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - Just a day after Alexander Steen was formally introduced as general manager, the St. Louis Blues announced some changes to their front office.
After serving as director of recruitment, Hockey Hall of Fame inductee Keith Tkachuk has been promoted to advisor to the president of hockey operations.
Former Blues player and Stanley Cup champion Chris Thorburn has been promoted to director of player development after serving as a development coach since 2021.
In addition, Robert Bortuzzo, who spent 10 years with the Blues and won a Stanley Cup, has rejoined the team as a pro scout. He previously held a variety of roles, including as a part-time scout.
The Blues announced they have also added Shane Malloy as director of strategic planning and Dr. Ted Barile as team chiropractor, who also serves as the team chiropractor for MLS NEXT Pro’s St. Louis City2 soccer team.

The following promotions have also been made:
- Alex Starovoytov has been promoted to full-time scout.
- Madison Greenough has been promoted to senior data engineer.
- Jazzmyn Carter has been promoted to senior coordinator of hockey operations.
Tkachuk and Malloy will report directly to Armstrong while each of the other positions will report to Steen.
