ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - St. Louis Cardinals rookie JJ Wetherholt has reportedly signed an eight-year extension with the team.
According to ESPN, the Cardinals and 23-year-old infielder came to an agreement Friday.

The deal is worth eight years and $112.5 million and could max out at $132 million.
Wetherholt is currently slashing .267/.362/.411, with 13 home runs and nine stolen bases.
