Here’s what you should know before heading to Chiefs Training Camp

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Training camp is underway in St. Joseph, and thousands of Kansas City Chiefs fans will make the trek up I-29 over the next three weeks.

Rookies and quarterbacks arrived in St. Joe last week and kicked off their training camp activities on July 24.

The full Chiefs squad will take the field at Missouri Western State University for the first time on Wednesday, and the session is exclusive for season ticket members. Thursday’s practice will be available to the general public.

Tickets required to attend training camp

All training camp practices are ticketed. To secure tickets, fans should visit here, though they are subject to availability.

Ticket limit

Fans can reserve a maximum amount of six tickets per practice and can reserve tickets for a maximum of three separate practices. Paid practice dates are not subject to any ticket limits. Season Ticket Member dates do not count towards the maximum practices.

How much tickets cost

With the exception of paid admission dates, tickets are free. On paid admission dates (August 1, August 7 and August 8), each ticket will cost $7.

Children ages 3 and younger are free.

Ticket access

All tickets to practice are mobile-only. Fans may access their tickets by logging into their account via the Chiefs Mobile App or here. For more information on how to access mobile tickets, please visit here.

Parking

There is no free parking spaces on-campus.

General parking on campus will be available in the following lots: H, J, K, and B.

With the exception of season ticket member days, fans will be charged $8 per day to park and are encouraged to purchase in advance here.

Parking for buses and RVs has been set aside in Lot C at a rate of $15 per vehicle.

Practice start times

Training camp gates will open 30 minutes before the posted start of practice and will close 30 minutes after practice.

Bag policy

Guests are strongly encouraged not to bring any type of bag into camp. For those who need to carry a bag, the NFL Clear Bag Policy will be in effect, which permits the following types of bags.

  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc or similar)
  • Small clutch bags that are 4.5″ x 6.5″ or smaller
  • An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection.

Pets

Pets, with the exception of service animals, are not permitted.

Tailgating

Fans are welcome to tailgate prior to practice, under the following guidelines:

  • Only one parking space may be taken up per car
  • Alcohol is prohibited in all MWSU parking lots
  • All trash should be disposed of in the barrels provided
