ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - The United States Men’s National Team is returning to St. Louis this fall!
St. Louis CITY SC announced Tuesday that the USMNT will play Chile at Energizer Park as part of a series of matches to kick off the next World Cup cycle.
The game is set for September 29 at 7 p.m.
It will be the 12th overall meeting between the two nations and first since Mar. 26, 2019.
“When we talk about a soccer culture in this country, St. Louis is one of the great examples,” USMNT head coach Mauricio Pochettino said. “When we joined the Men’s National Team, our first official match at home was in St. Louis against Jamaica. Along with the amazing crowd, what we enjoyed the most was the great history and connection to the sport that we felt everywhere we went. This is a city where the national team feels at home.”
