Sheryl Crow to perform National Anthem at Mizzou Football Opener Mizzou announced that nine-time Grammy Award winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Sheryl Crow will perform the national anthem before the home opener.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - The University of Missouri announced that nine-time Grammy Award winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Sheryl Crow will perform the national anthem before Mizzou’s 2026 football season opener!

The “Kickoff in CoMo” game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 3, at Memorial Stadium.

Crow, from Kennett, Missouri, earned her degree in music education from Mizzou in 1984.

She served as Mizzou’s Homecoming grand marshal in 2003, and also returned to Mizzou for a benefit concert in 2015.

“Hey, Mizzou fans, I’m so excited to see all of you guys at the ‘Kickoff in CoMo’ home opener,” Crow said. “Can’t wait to get back in town. M-I-Z!”
