KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - For the first time during his 14th season in the NFL, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is expected to speak to the media following Wednesday’s practice.
It’s the penultimate practice of the Chiefs’ first game week of the 2026 season.
Kansas City practices in pads Wednesday, ahead of a lighter Thursday practice and an off-day on Friday before Saturday’s preseason opener with the Los Angeles Rams.

During practice, Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton exited with an injury. It’s unclear what was bothering the Chiefs captain.
Tight end Jared Wiley was also seen heading up the hill during practice in the front of the cart. It’s unclear what led to his departure.

After practice, the Chiefs said Nick Bolton had an illness, Jared Wiley exited with a hamstring issue and rookie defensive tackle Peter Woods was dealing with an ankle injury.
Along with Kelce, Chiefs special teams coordinator Dave Toub, undrafted rookie offensive lineman Kahlil Benson and punter Matt Araiza are expected to speak to the media.
The Chiefs open the preseason Saturday at 3 p.m. CT against the Rams.
