ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -The St. Louis Cardinals rookie Joshua Báez hit three home runs in his MLB debut Saturday, becoming the first player to achieve this performance.
Báez, 23, hit his first homer in the top of the first inning when the Cardinals were ahead, 1-0, against the Chicago Cubs. His second homer came in the top of the fourth inning. Báez’s third homer gave the Cardinals a 6-3 lead.
The Cardinals announced Friday that they were promoting Baez from Triple-A Memphis.
