ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - Today, the St. Louis Blues announced Robert Thomas has been named the 25th captain in Blues history!
The 27-year-old will become the seventh original Blues draft pick to be named captain after being selected in the first round of the 2017 NHL Draft.
Last season, he collected 64 points in 64 regular-season games and was ranked 12th in the NHL in points.
Alongside him, Colton Parayko, Philip Broberg, Jake Neighbours and Dylan Holloway have been named assistant captains for the 2026-27 season.
Parayko, who has previously served as assistant captain, ranks third all-time in games played by a Blue. The 33-year-old has recorded 81 goals and 232 assists in his 11 seasons with St. Louis.

Broberg, 25, has also previously served as assistant captain. He has posted 14 goals and 49 assists in two seasons in St. Louis. In January 2026, he signed a six-year contract extension with the Blues.
Neighbours has recorded 71 goals and 61 assists and has worn an ‘A’ on his jersey previously. He was drafted 26th in the 2020 NHL Draft and has played parts of five seasons in the Blue Note.
For the first time in his career, Holloway, 24, will be an assistant captain. He joined the Blues before the 2024-25 season and has recorded 48 goals and 66 assists for St. Louis.
