ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - St. Louis CITY SC has signed Colorado Rapids star forward Rafael Navarro.
In a release, CITY SC says the transaction is for a club record $12 million, plus an additional $250,000 in conditional compensation.
Navarro, 26, initially joined the Rapids on loan in the summer of 2023. He has been one of Major League Soccer’s most consistent goal-scorers since his arrival.
In 2024, he scored 15 goals - a career high.
So far this year, he has 11 goals and five assists.
The club also says Navarro has agreed to a four year deal, through the 2029-2030 season, with an option for the following season.
