Mizzou upsets No. 8 Florida 45-17 for first Top 10 win since 2013

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - The Missouri Tigers defeated the Florida Gators 45-17 Saturday in Columbia, MO!

The win over No. 8 Florida was Mizzou’s first win against a Top 10 opponent since October 12, 2013, when the No. 25-ranked Tigers upset the No. 7 Georgia Bulldogs 41-26.

The Tigers outscored the Gators 25-0 in the second half.

Running back Jamal Roberts rushed for over 200 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries. The senior from St. Louis had two individual runs for over 75 yards.

Quarterback Austin Simmons threw for over 300 yards and two touchdowns.

Mizzou’s record improves to 4-1, while Florida suffers its first loss of the season.

Next, Mizzou will face Texas A&M on Saturday, October 10.
