ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - St. Louis CITY SC captain and goalkeeper Roman Bürki was released from the hospital Thursday morning after he was injured in the U.S. Open Cup Final.
Bürki sustained a head injury in the second half after making a save and was carted off the field.
The club said Burki was alert and in good spirits.
His availability for future matches is still uncertain.
