ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - A court order has granted Saint Louis University (SLU) center Robbie Avila a fifth year of eligibility.
A judge granted Avila a temporary injunction Thursday afternoon. It comes less than two weeks after an emergency restraining order was issued in Avila’s favor in his case against the NCAA.
Avila helped lead the Billikens to the NCAA tournament last season before he went undrafted by an NBA team. He played for the Summer League Lakers and then filed a lawsuit seeking an extra year of eligibility.
The ruling comes two days before SLU takes on Mizzou at Enterprise Center.
