Midtown March Madness: Billikens to play in first NCAA tournament in 7 years

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - For the first time in seven years, the SLU men’s basketball team will be playing in the Big Dance.

The Billikens are a 9 seed in the Midwest region and will face 8 seed Georgia.

It comes after SLU won its first Atlantic 10 regular-season title in 12 years. In the Atlantic 10 conference tournament, SLU fell to Dayton in the semifinals.

The Billikens will open the tournament in Buffalo on March 19.
