Memphis Redbirds reliever Max Rajcic named Cardinals Minor League Co-Player of the Month
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - Memphis Redbirds right-handed reliever Max Rajcic has been named a St. Louis Cardinals Minor League Co-Player of the Month!
Through 11 appearances in May, Rajcic posted a 1.20 ERA, two wins, three saves, a 0.80 WHIP, and 19 strikeouts while allowing only eight hits.
Among qualified Cardinals minor league pitchers, he ranked first in ERA, WHIP, saves, and opponent’s OPS (.464).
Rajcic also didn’t allow an earned run in 9 of his 11 outings and posted a 33.9% strikeout rate.
He was selected by the Cardinals in the 6th round of the 2022 MLB Draft out of UCLA.
In 2023, he won the Cardinals Minor League Pitcher of the Year award.
The other player to receive the award this month was Peoria Chiefs outfielder Won-Bin Cho.
